SEBASTOPOL AREA TIME BANK
Building Community One Hour At A Time
Nonprofit Organization Membership
Just as we did for individuals before opening to the public in 2016, in 2018 we conducted a pilot project to test the feasibility of offering nonprofit organizations membership in the Sebastopol Area Time Bank. After analyzing the results, we are happy to announce that we are accepting applications. Read on to see if your organization would be a good fit.
Our nonprofit members you may know and support:
Sebastopol Climate Action (subcommittee of 350 Sonoma)

Time banking is all about building community through sharing time and talents and acknowledging valuable work that is done every day but isn't necessarily rewarded by a traditional monetary system. Many time banks offer organizations memberships. Just as individuals can offer and receive services, organizations can offer something to the time bank and receive services from any of our time bank members.
When an organization joins the time bank, you become part of our community and we become part of yours.
What do you have to offer?
What do you need?
These are just a few examples of how we can all share resources. Think about it...
RECEIVE
Too busy to record the day of an event? A time banker can take photos.
GIVE
Do you have event space with down time? The time bank could make use of it.
RECEIVE
Need extra help taking tickets at your events on occasion? Reach out to the entire time bank membership.
How can the time bank help your organization?
A. You can receive occasional extra help with events and projects.
B. Your volunteers earn time bank hours for their volunteer work for you.
C. Your volunteers and our members can donate any earned time bank hours to you.
RECEIVE
Someone would love to support your organization but isn't available when you need people to help. He can help a member of the time bank paint a fence when he has the time and donate the hours earned to your organization.
